What you describe isn't a typical quinceanera. Traditionally, when a Mexican girl turns 15 she is introduced to society, like a cotillion. I have photographed a couple and they are like extra fancy teenage birthday parties or proms.

If you're asking about the party - I think she did what she wanted to do, without consulting her parents. You didnt mention their reaction. Frankly, if it was my daughter, she would have been pulled off the floor immediately. Doesnt matter how old she is, she shouldnt have disrespected her family that way.
