Camino makes a good hot rod. I would paint it one solid color though. Black would be sweet. Definately has potential.

OK first off, me I would put it back stock then you would have something worth some coin but its been altered by someone who thought they were doing something it looks on a scale to me from 1 to 10 its a 5, but it also looks like it defiantly was or should I say the piss has been run out of it respectfully speaking it look like the car is all there but when someone does these kind of alterations its for look that appealed to them not you it going to need some work and I have not even heard it run yet and shift and at freeway speeds but it is worth restoring back to what it ones was and you will have a very nice vehicle and worth something and it will have class the hood is OK to leave but loose the color and the wheel and have the under the hood put back in order OK, take care

I like El Caminos, but you're going to want one that was made before 1978 off of the Chevelle, or the Monte Carlo platform. In 1978 they switched to the Malibu platform, which was meant for a mid size car, not a truck.

I love it. My husband used to have an El Comino. He and our daughter had great fun with it. They lost several drive shafts before discovering that the rear end frame brace was broken. That one had a 383 under the hood.

Very cool and a good price! If I lived near Ohio I'd definitely be interested! The auction is over now...Did you check the car's history?

Dude, an El Camino is a definite no.

Unless you are from south of the border, then it's debatable.

it seems pretty solid and not a bad cost, but remember it's 20 years old you will have some problems, and will have to put more money into it at some point
