i recently watched the mtv vma and discoverd that no black artists were nominated for the video of the year. not only mtv is the qulity but other shows were whites constanly wins all the time only one time in a moment will a minority wins like the oscars, acdmeny awards and the list goes on. dose race play an important role.

yes, it does because this determine which race is represented a lot. always, the black, hispanics, and asians are underrepresented! It also influences people's attitude about the media. Remember when Iman and Tyra Banks complained about how there were little amounts of black models, so they formed a black model alliance.

interesting, my friend was telling me that the other day. i think race does, but at the same time with music, blacks are so typical with their crap (i'm black, not to worry). but as far as oscars, yes. halle - won because she had played basically a porn star in monster's ball ...i think you're on to something, lad.
