Advantages to you (only if you are a frequent Yahoo! user):
* Integrated Yahoo! Search with Yahoo! Homepage and Yahoo! Mail tabs.

Advantages to Yahoo:
* They get more visits, which means they get more ad revenue
* The default search engine in their IE7 is Yahoo!, which means they've an advantage over Live.com and Google.

I don't know. I use Netscape 7.2. It's much more secure.
