Absolutely not. You are thrilled to have shared a year of your lives together. If he is the kind of person that appreciates sentiment, I'm sure he will love it...if he tends to shy away from talk about feelings, however, this might make him a little uncomfortable.
When my husband and I were still dating, I made him a small scrapbook of our time together for Valentine's Day and hid clues between our two houses for him to follow. He absolutely loved it and was delighted that I took the time to put it together.
