Does your gift shop have a theme/main product? Who's your target audience?
It would help if we knew some more details..
Does your shop have some sort of mascot or pet? If so, you could incorporate it into your name/logo, business cards, etc.. cute animal/logos can make your store more memorable.
Name rhyming.. Chuck's Trucks, Mike's Bikes..
Theme.. try incorporating a favorite theme throughout the store.. ie pirates & ships; you can decorate your store with all kinds of sea-faring items, posters, etc.. will make your store more memorable, people will talk about it to their friends, etc.
