what would you rather be?

Deaf, for sure. The only thing I would really miss is music. And good music comes across as a kind of poetry, so I could still read the lyrics.

But being blind would require I learn how to read braille, become very trusting of others, give up driving, forget about movies, etc. Not that being deaf doesn't have its downsides, but I think there is just so much beauy in the world, the work famous artists have given us, a baby's smile, a rainbow on an otherwise gloomy day, a field of flowers, etc. and I feel I would miss out on a lot more of it if I was blind

hey I used to ask that question to people all of the time~

I would have to go with deaf even though I would miss music I could still feel the beat of it and I could still feel vibrations which would make up for the loss of any sound. I would hate to not be able to see the guy I love or nature - so I would have to go with deaf.
:o)

Deaf, because at least I could see all the beautiful things... and I get to use sign language!

Deaf.
I love art, esp those about nature. Nature is my aspiration for art. The most natural is the most beautiful.
Of course I also love music, but not half as much as art.

If I HAD to be one or the other, I would take deaf. I could not deal with no eyesight.

Blind....then you know for sure if somebody is being real with you by the sound, tone of their voice. Also, there would be no judgement on my part if my beloved is physically revolting to the rest of the world if I know the truth of his beautiful soul. Music and communication is also something that connects us to the world. Through vocal expressions, you wouldn't need eyesight to see the details!

Blind, I'd rather live a life without light than live without sound. Moreover, there is no good left in this world worth watching.
