Dye (blue)is injected into your tubes while the doctor views them with a laparoscope.If the dye goes all the way to your ovaries the doctor then knows that your tubes are not blocked.... Very simple outpatient procedure....Good Luck!

A small tube with a lens (scope) is inserted into your abdomen under general anesthesia. Then the doctor visualizes all of the female organs, he will inject dye into your reproductive system and watch the dye flow thru to see if there are any abnormalities or any blockages that are avoiding you from getting pregnant. This procedure will take an hour or so and then you will be sent home the same day. It will be painless during the procedure since you will be asleep and you will have only minimal pain following the procedure. The doctor will give you instructions for pain relief. Usually it is just Tylenol or Motrin for a few days and some rest. God bless and I hope you are blessed with another child soon.
