Israel understands that a half-way solution would not make their people safe from retaliation. They would be obligated to ensure that Iran was incapable of striking back, especially with civilian suicide bombers, Iran's favorite method of attack.
If it came to open war between the two, Iran would perish as a nation as would most of its people.

Survive is a relative term. I for one would hope that should hostilities break out that Isreal would forever make an example of this depraved fundamentalist nation by obliterating it from the face of the Earth. This is also necessary so that the US doesn't have to go in and clean up the mess.
Iran has threatened the Jewish people with extinction, and for that, they should reap their just rewards - as will any nation foolish enough to raise their hand against these people, whom the US and Great Britain (and yes, even France) will protect.
As for "Hey's" answer - Isreal didn't attack Lebanon because of the two Soldier's kidnapped by Hezbohlah (forgive the spelling). It has been going on and on for years, and this latest event was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
I'm not an Arab, and I'm not a Jew. I am an American stationed in Iraq, and I hear them (the Iraqi Shia, Sunni and even Kurds) speak about the Jewish people - never yet has it been good. I perceive the Arabs (in general) as fanatically hateful towards the Jewish people, and most of them have never even met a Jewish person! Their aggression towards God's chosen people will be met with destruction, and it is well deserved.

Israel is too small to start the war on its own. It doesn't have the resources neither the man power to overcome the Iran's military.
It will most probably rely on some big powers to join in its fight with Iran. The war is not eminent an this point. Iran wouldn't go for a such suisidal move. It needs the nuclear weapons more for deterent against US and Israel, but I doubt it it will use it first.

Israel is nuclear and has a better airforce, but, yes, Iran would survive. Iran might lose, but it wouldn't be 'total victory' unless Israel stooped low enough to use nukes. Of course, I doubt they'd be at war alone, other countries would get into the mix too.

No. Israel has a new technology called the Moses Radio Frequency. They are micro chips airdropped in the millions. Tiny data chips capable of playing music and/or propaganda.
MRFs get into the head of the host & fug up your ear drums. In fact, drums won't work at all. Pretty soon, car brake drums give out & you betta beat it out of there.
Fast before you feel like someone is banging on your head. Said to be very ear piercing, propaganda keeps being relayed over & over.
Remember these are micro chips the size of sand.
Till finally the Mullahs have to mull over wtf is beating inside their ear drums. Finally the words "9/11," "don't forget" & "remember the Alamo?" keep getting played over & over.
Camels have been found dead in the desert highways via Black Helicopter experiments. The local Mullahs think it is some venereal disease.

no b/c iran really is not afrid 2 use the atomic weapons. they've seen wat the usa has done 2 iraq an they probably wont want the same thing. an since america (cough the govt cough) is on isreali side that will piss of the irag gov even more. im a muslim but im not basing this on me being a muslim just my opinion. an besides palestine an plenty of other muslim countries wil probably be on their side. get ready 4 ww3. but honestly the whole thing is fu*d up. u dun start war because of 2 pple being abducted.

After what Hezbollah did to the Israeli army,I think Iran would win a fight with Israel easily...That if Israel doesn't use its nuclear weapons...
