I have a an hpbusiness inkjet 1100 and it seems to think all the colors need to be replaced. But I just awant to print in black an white (replacing all the ink will be $100!) I have plenty of black ink. But it refuses to print, and lights up all the color ink cartraiges as needing attention. I tried taken them all out put them back in.

On printing options I told it to print in greyscale.

Still no printing. I'm sure someone knows the trick to this. How do I get it to pretend I put in new color cartridges so I can print in black.

Look around on the internet for refilling the Cartridges and you will find information on tricking your printer into thinking the colors are brand new. It involves covering some of the contacts! Good Luck.

Most printers that have multiple cartridges...and when one is out of ink it can affect the print head...so you can take the color cartridges complelty out and leave them out...or just buy new ones

Doesn't it suck? I'm having the same problem. I tried filling my black ink cartridge and ended spilling black ink all over my kitchen counter and floor. What a mess! and it still didn't work!
