"Vedas (old scriptures of Bharat) teach that man should adore and worship God in gratitude for His benedictions. The Bible teaches that man should pray for peace and practise charity. The Quran would have man show mercy to the suffering and to surrender his will to the Divine. The Buddhist texts teach the lesson of detachment and self control. The Zendavasta exhorts man to get rid of evil propensities and shine in his own innate glory."

" India has been teaching since ages the message of the spirit and the means to gain equanimity and joy. The prayer that she has taught her people is, ' May all people everywhere be happy" ?

Good question! I might have to think about this one...

Ok, here we go:

Belief, what is it? The simple answer would be that it is a thought, but it is obviously much more.

What other thought will drive two human beings, that would otherwise be best friends, to kill each other? There is nothing stronger in this world than belief, it is the essence of our civilization. The Communists attempted to replace belief in faith with equality. The end result was that people were not motivated by anything and the products that spun off the assembly lines were of increasingly poorer quality.

The beauty of belief, is that it can be in anything (however misplaced it may be). I can believe with all my heart that the chair I'm sitting in will turn into a porn star and there will be a reckoning. However, my belief alone will not make this happen. So belief, although it is a thought, can be wrong. Belief is when you expect something to happen, or when you trust that something has already happened, even if it be long ago.

The problem with today's belief, is that most of the time, we are not entirely right, but we believe that we are 100% correct. Like I said before, no matter how firmly I believe that my chair is about to turn into a star, I will always be wrong. You could almost blame belief for the wars we fight today. Because it is conflicting beliefs (albeit, mainly in religion) that cause warring. We fight for the priviledge to tell the other side that their belief is WRONG.

Belief is a thought, and the purest belief, is when you believe in something that is 100% correct. Only one problem, who is to tell you if you're right or wrong?

Belief is being passionate about information. If you see certain information and you notice that it's a pattern, you embrace that as a belief because it appears to come true under the same certain circumstances.

When you keep seeing a pattern that is consistent with the assumptions you made about it, you continue to believe in it and it gets cemented. It isn't until someone else or something disproves that theory that will shake it.

Though if you're talking about believing in yourself, that's where your own opinion counts and what you know about yourself. If people are talking badly about you, but you have belief in yourself and you can refer to a whole bunch of good things that you've done, it's hard to ruin that belief.

Belief is acceptance of something as real. It is greater than faith. The deepest would be believing in yourself as it is the hardest. We are tuaght to believe out side ourselves [God] this takes our power away to change and live for ourselves. manifesting belief is the acceptance that you create everything you want in life and begin how to do this on a conscious basis. Belief is a creed which you have accepted as true and integrated in your sense of identify. To believe is to give yourself over to an idea that is reinforced within your own reality. The deepest form of belief is possibly that which completely defines your reality...ergo debunking that belief would shatter your reality and the very definition of who you are.

What I mean by believe. Believing is doing or feeling in what you feel is truth without doubts.
Belief is no doubts. I have belief in karma and I have no doubt that Karma is real. you might have a different belief! The word Believe actually breaks a spelling rule I be for e except after c and when preceeding before v. Also as a like in weigh!

Knowing when I have found the correct and right answer, not always the one taught me.
Also as I have often said before, I believe we are predestined to just go with the flow through life, but have the ability to deviate from that path if the will is strong enough.

Am I? I think I am, so I am in my mind, but who knows if I am in anyone else's mind? Maybe I am a random thought in a nightmare of whatever is doing the dreaming ;)

Take the sentences 1.It is raining 2.I believe it is raining. The second sentence has an element of doubt compared to the first. Belief is often imposed on you by parents, teachers, media.

Believe and Belief are really two separates...! Belief is a conviction or opinion. Believe is to accept as true or real. I used to wonder that one myself...then...POOF! I looked it up in a dictionary one day! What does it mean to make believe?!!!!!

Believing is blind faith, means you will take something as fact and no questioning its validity e.g a very old book, and worship every word and sentence even though there is no proof of evidence that it is the truth. But those would say that it doesn't matter whether there is evidence as they just BELIEVE. Some would call this FAITH, others will call it DELUSIONAL INSANITY
