I have reported an individual to yahoo, on two occasions now and ignored their screenname on my friend's list and some how every couple of days or so this same individual seems to find a way to IM me, I have made it clean to this person that i do not want to correspond with them. How do I get this to be noticed by Yahoo?

If it was me I would tell Yahoo the individual is bothering you so much you are going to report it to the Police. If Yahoo does not act to fix it so this individual is not out of your life for good then in fact report him/her to the police and let Yahoo handle it from there. If this person is working this hard to find you every couple of days then it is a concern. Normal people would get the hint and move on. One last thought, hope your friend is being a true friend. Yahoo can't really do much about it since they deal with this type of situation everyday. So they let it run rampant I guess. But you can try to block him..and then delete him or change SNs. If he continues to harrass, you can call the local authorities or find the Net-Nanny's and they can help you out.

The best thing and the same thing yahoo will tell you is to go to messenger/preference and either close up your IM to no one but friends ,, take them off your list and add them to your ignore list in preferences

i don't be responsive to approximately misused on account which you will get your answer appealed if this is been wrongly reported, yet their policies are difficult to persist with. Any question could be considered "chatting".

First of all, you should never let strangers contact you by IM or email. You didn't say how they got your IM ID, but if it was through Answers, you should change your info so that strangers can not contact you.
