My four year old son's hands did the same thing! It was like a month ago. It kept getting worse, so I took him to the pediatrician. He gave us some prescription strength hydrocortisone cream and some anti-fungal cream. After a few days it cleared up. Don't know what caused it, but it went away. Good luck!

does he develop little pimples on his skin first? then he scrapes them off? if so I have/had that I just use pure bleach a little in the palm and rub it over the hand providing not open sores all over if it is nothing like poison ivy or poison oak then I can only say use intensive care hand cream three times a day cake his hands in it for 10 to 15 minutes at a time then at the end pat dry to an exstent

I had a friend in high school with the same problem. It was caused by stress. He needs to see a dermatologist. Even alleviating the stress may still have a break-out on the hands.
