It is so hard to find clothes that fit her? Anyone find any solutions that work? Some 6/9 month clothes are too big in the waist but too short, and some 12 month stuff is just long enough but too big in the waist! I don't know what to do? I've found that I can never go wrong with dresses, but it will be getting cooler here in Iowa soon and that's not an option for too much longer!!!

Ohh, forgot to add, she is 6 months old! She is 15.5 pounds and 28" long.

She actually is in cloth diapers! I joke to my mom that's the only way to get her skinny butt to fill out any pants lol :P

It gets even worse trying to find clothes once they're potty trained! I have a 2 year old who is almost 3 feet tall and weighs a measly 24 pounds. Even some 18 month pants are too big in the waist. Dresses are a major bonus!

Until your daughter is potty trained you may want to try cloth diapers for the bulk... I joked that cloth diapers were the only reason my daughter's pants stayed up. We went on a cruise in December and she wore disposable diapers while we were there. We brought a pair of jammies that fit at home didn't fit on the cruise-- they literally fell down to her ankles while she walked. We're doing infant potty training with #2 so I don't know what I'm going to do about pants in slightly smaller sizes!

Do you have time to sew? I'm planning on making a whole bunch of pants for my girl for the winter, and I'll adjust the pattern to fit her skinny heiney. My mom's going to make her some pants, too.

I've also taken in some pants and skirts so they fit her.

I also love a product called babylegs. They are leg warmers for little kids and they fit both my 3 month old and my 2 year old. http://www.babylegs.net/

Another thing that fits my skinny kid-- stretch pants!

I'm going to start trying clothes on my daughter before I buy them from now on. It is terrible to try to get clothes to fit her, especially now since she's in panties! (her panties don't even fit-- the smallest size they make is 2t/3t and they're way loose on the legs. I started making panties for her!)

Unfortunately they don't start making slim sizes until about size 5 so I have a while until I can get clothes that actually fit her. Bummer.

Wish I could help. My 17 month old is very tiny in height and body, she wore a pair of jeans for 6 to 9 months during the past winter. Still fits but the leg is a little short. Went shopping and nothing fits 12 months is too small, 18 months is too big. I am going to try the Gap, some of their pants have adjustment belts inside. you should try those

My daughter is the same way! She is 3 months old and I have to put her in 6-9 month clothes because she is too long. She mostly wears sleepers because of this problem! I also try to shrink them a little bit so they fit better! I find that Gerber onesies run smaller then most others and Circo and First Year from target run pretty big.

My son was long and slender, but I came to find buying clothes a pretty big waste. He just wanted to run around in his diaper. So, that's what we let him do. Sweatpants with elastic at waist and ankles were good for when he needed to wear clothes. I seem to remember loving OshKosh overalls. Hanna Andersson's sizes are nicely done and I've never gotten a better fit for my kids than through Hanna.

the burden sizes do mean *something*, however the undertaking right this is that toddlers are available in many distinctive types. 2 toddlers of the comparable weight could have that weight in distinctive places, so it does not ideal reflect no count if that's going to greater healthful for all toddlers. Giving the definitely length measurements could be greater precise, yet how many times do you degree your toddler's waist? that's much less annoying to circulate by the dimensions variety. If length 4's too small, circulate as much as length 5! overlook appropriate to the burden specs.

I have the same problem my son is 7 months and wearing clothes for 12-18 months. They are baggy around his waist line but fit him well in length. Don't worry if they are to baggy just be worried if they are to tight.

I had the opposite problem, my baby was soooo chubby. There is no real solution, you just have to dress her in clothes that are slightly too big. The clothing industry assumes all babies are exactly alike.

I have the same problem. My baby is long and slender. She was born at 24" long. I make all her baby clothes and just extend the sewing patterns for her legs. It works great. Baby clothes are so easy to make as well.

I had the same problem with my first - He was so skinny but very long! His feet were so skinny his socks would even slip off. (Yet he was 8 lbs) I used to buy alot of stretch/play outfits (one piece) or sweats (or other pants with stretch waists) He eventually grew into them. However as he got into larger sizes I had to buy slim's until he got older.

I too used one piece outfits a lot. I use dresses with heavy tights also in the colder months.
