Talent without motivation is as good as no talent.
Get some motivation and start believing in yourself. If you dont then no-one else will.
The talented people out there who never 'fulfilled their potential' are ten to the dozen. If you dont believe you can do it then you're in the wrong industry because a half-hearted actor is easily replaceable and even easier forgotten.
Sort yourself out, get a goal, break down the steps to that goal and start heading towards the first step. On top of that you need education and experience so fit those two elements into your master plan too.
Before you know it you'll be half way there.

You have only one life and it is ticking by - have you used this talent today? If not why not? Is it because you are afraid of being yourself? How would you feel if you saw someone else with this same talent but not as good as you doing what you would like to do? I would feel gutted if it was me. So start to live your dream and find a way of using your talent in some small way every day. The only person who is suffering is you - so take a risk, take the plunge and just do it - whatever it is, believe in yourself and you will feel great. I did and I now have a thriving successful creative business ...so the power is within you - go for it. Take responsibiliy for your future now.

Lot's of good answers, heed them well.
My take is that talent just means potential.
And, having worked in an art school, I'll say that talent is cheap too.
The key is skill.
Developing skills is what you need to do and that means working at your craft. Whether it's performing, taking classes, auditioning or just practicing. Learn what "process" means.
When the blend of talent and skill come together, then we can have artists.
Have a dream -- and go make that dream come true!

If you cant get into something at school or college (if you are still there then approach the staff they are there to help) try and join and local theatre group. If you keep your eyes open often in local papers they'll have adverts about performances if it tell you which company is running it then give them a call or an email see when the auditions for there next show is.

Your age would help me to answer your question. But here are a few suggestions--just to help you gain some confidence, or find out it acting (I presume you are an actor) is your metier.
If you're in school, investigate theatre opportunities there. Put yourself forward to help in the beginning, then work up the confidence to audition for parts in school plays.
If you are older, investigate community theatre in your area. Again, if you don't have the confidence to audition, volunteer to help in other ways and then, when you're ready, put yourself forward and audition.
There are also small theatres, with small budgets, that would welcome your help while you become acquainted with the "theatre scene."
Of course, see as much theatre as you can...And I'm not talking about the 50-dollar-a-ticket kind of musical. Seek out theatre, watch it, learn by watching, then, when you're ready, go for it!
Good luck. AnneM

Stop being conceited, for a start. Believe in yourself, but don't brag unless you've got real proof. Also, if you're not the right shape or size, no matter how good you are, you ain't gonna get cast. Producers have favourites unfortunately.
And don't take any notice of anybody but yourself. (especially me)

What is your talent? It's a bit difficult to point you in the right direction if we don't know what you are talking about.

Just look for an enterprise which would use your talent, or to a manager, in case. Ask for an private appointment, in a place or ambient that would makes yourself feel in peace, without any oppression... and show YOU!!! Give to them a good impression and if you¡re good, as you think, you'll got it!!
Forget my poor english, I'm argentine.-
