A little, but there aren't many of you that can. We manage to get by with or without your skills.

For the most part no. However, it's a very desirable skill in a man. Being able to dance shows us that you are not embarassed to be seen and also that you have the potential to be sensitive. It also lets us know that your willing to have fun and don't care what others think of you. Even if your not the best dancer and you occassionally step on our toes we'll still be happy. We don't care if your good just that you'll try. Alas, many of us are not lucky enough to get the best of both worlds. My husband although is a great husband and father. Very caring, loving, warm, funny, etc... It takes a lot to get him to dance with me even when we are by ourselves in the privacy of our own home with nobody else around. Even when I do get him to dance I don't know if I can call what he's doing, dancing! But I love him all the same dancing or not.

Most of the women whom I know don't care one way or the other. Which is a good thing, since I don't know any actual dance steps. Well, I did learn square dancing many years ago & I've done a little line dancing since then. But my social setting doesn't provide much opportunity for either of those. So, for me & my dance partners, it's pretty much free-style.

Dear Scott,

Hi !

No I would not care if a guy could not dance if I liked the guy.

Here is a tip though, on how to 'fake' dancing nicely:

#1 - Just chose 'slow' dances and then take the girl into your arms and then 'sway' back and forth as you hold her -

#2 - always move your feet GENTLY (so you don't step on her feet) -

#3 - Step sideways a bit, every now and then, as you sway.

#4 - and ask her what perfume she is wearing -
tell her that she sure smells good !
(believe me - even if she is not wearing any perfume -
she will be pleased
and she will forget to be critical of your dancing in any way).

And if she asks you to dance fast ?
Tell her you think it looks like fun and that you are learning and does she have any advice about what is impontant to know about it -
Tell her you'd wash her car or whatever if she'd give you a lesson ( it's just a thought ?).
By the way - I have noticed some very critical answers submitted previous to mine -
I believe you would find that the women/girls who submitted those answers are insensitive and mean people in other areas of their lives beside the area of dancing.
Some people are just that way - insensitive and STUCK-UP !
Not very attractive way to be, if you ask me -
I think think the word for them is a 5 letter word; that starts with a 'B'; and rhymes with the word witch ( a mean and bad one !) -
My advice to you about those female vipers is ???
They are a case of 'pretty is as pretty does' -
IGNORE THEM !.
Hope you have lots of fun !
Sincerely,
Karma doll

If the girl can dance, she wants to dance with someone who can too.
I hate it when a guys says, "oh, you can dance...can you teach me....like this?...am I a fast learner?...am I doing it right?..."
...and the truth is they look like dorks. A guy should learn to dance even if it is in front of the mirror. Then go out and show your moves. You don't have to be a pro, but know how to do it...and don't step on the girl!

I care to some extent. I prefer for the guy to have a good command of his body. That includes dancing. But if this is his most major bad quality but otherwise he's fine person I'll overlook his inability to dance.

We don't really care if you can, just that you make the effort to dance with us. That only counts in slow dancing. If we see you trying to dance to a fast song and you can't, then we'll probably think you're an idiot.

I care!! It probably depends on what kind of girl you are seeing.

I love to dance, and nothing gives me more pleasure than dancing with my guy. I love living in the world of dance, its just you and your partner.

No. If you're personality is awsome, or you have other talents, then they really won't. They care alot more about who you are as a person. Especially since not every girl in the world can dance themselves.

depends the girl. if shes laid back, easy going and can have a good laugh then she isn't going to care. If she's stuck up then chances are high. In all seriousness it depends the girl. hey if she cares about one tiny thing then she needs to get a life. live a danceless life, but be proud of it. but then again you could always learn to dance if its that big of a deal. good luck.
