I think the number is higher, closer to 24, albiet some are distant relationships.. very distant.

They played this up in 2004 when the Kerry/Bush relationship was first brought to light... then it mysteriously faded away.

There have been two sets of presidents who were father and son: John Adams and John Quincy Adams, and George Bush and George W. Bush. Other presidents who were related: William H. Harrison and Benjamin Harrison (grandfather and grandson) ; James Madison and Zachary Taylor (second cousins) ; and Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin D. Roosevelt (fifth cousins).

I don't know all the ins and outs but..
-The Bush's are related to former President Franklin Pierce
-Both Clinton and Dole (who was never Pres.) were decended from some English Monarch.
-Franklin and Teddy Roosevelt of course.
-John and John Quincy Adams
-William Henry Harrison and Benjamin Harrison who was Willies grandson (I think) Anyway I know they are related.
That is all I know on the subject.
