no it isnt the same thing, the reason i say that is because a father is the biological person but a dad or daddy as you put it is someone who is htere and care's for the children no questions asked.i know that some people can be confuzed about the difrence in a way they may be simmiler but it all depends on each different situation. take mine for inctence i was in a abuse relationship for 10 years had a doughter who saw thing that a child shouldent go threw then when i got pregnent with my sone it was unexspected and at that time i was ready to leve my x and went to a womens shelter and then about 3 to 4 monthes i met a man who is great he didnt care whether i had children and or was pregnent he took me for me and was there when my 2nd child was born and has been there for both of them for 5 years now and doese everything for them and they call him daddy . and the biological fathere seen them maby a few times after i had left him but thats it so for about 4 and a half years the father hasnt been there and just doesnt care. so that is my apinion and the feiling i think is the difernce. hope what i said helped you see a diferent piont of veiw on your question.

Any guy could be a father means that any guy can get a lady pregnant. Therefore he is now a father. Someone special to be a daddy means that it takes a real man to step up to the plate and take care of his child the way that he should. By playing with his child and giving him/her all the love and attention that he could possibly give. And to love that child more than anything on this earth. That is my take on what it means.

some may say a step father may be a better daddy than the natural father. I believe this is a cop out for the two parents inability to understand parenting What I mean is any healthy biological couple can be parents

It means almost any male can produce the sperm to create a child, but not all of them will be a good father, or "daddy"
Lots of guys knock girls up then fail to be a father. Many women are also guilty of not being mothers or "mommy" but it is usually the men who bail. As a very involved father, I think there is a HUGE difference between someone who makes a child and one who takes care of the child.

It means that any male can father a child - or can "make" the baby, but to be a daddy, takes someone who cares, loves and provides for the child. You can be a father without being a daddy.

a father can just be a sperm donor.....a daddy loves and nutures the child through their entire life. A daddy teaches and helps, protects, loves, provides and cares for, supports and encourages their child. A daddy is for life!!
