Some family have children from different fathers or different mothers and some have children with a previous wife or husband, and then some together. I was just wondering if a step daughter could marry her brother from such situations. Just curious.

From a legal standpoint, I don't see an issue that would prevent a step-daughter from marrying her brother. As long as they are not blood relation. Some states will allow 2nd or 3rd cousins to be married. I would check the local laws to find out for sure.

As far as other standpoints, I guess it wouldn't be hard for you to get along with your in-laws!!!! LOL The only thing that I can see would be some of the family members being against it. As long as there is no blood relation between the step-daughter and her brother (I'm assuming that the question meant her step-brother or adopted brother), then I'm sure the family won't raise too much of an issue with this matter.

Yes it is perfectly legal for step siblings to marry, as long as they are not blood related. Step siblings are only related through the marriage of their parents. However, Half-siblings share one parent (same father, different mother or same mother, different father) and they are blood related so they would not be able to marry.

If they are not blood related then it's ok. It might be weird/creepy if they have been step-siblings for a long time, like, since they were little kids. If the parents didn't marry until the kids were a lot older like teens-early twenties then yeah.

Why not? You're not related so it's not morally wrong. But family would look down upon that depending how strong the family bond is between everybody.
