Ok, so.. i've been thinking and what does dating mean to you? does it mean you go out? or does it mean like.. just a friend and your like taking them to prom or something? What does it mean to you guys?

A date is going out to a movie or out to eat. It doesn;t mean just girlfriend or boyfriend..it can be as a friend, too.

I know what you mean.
Blind Date= It's like trying on pants. There's no real obligation in liking them or treating them in any way... you're just trying them on for size. Deciding if you like them at all.
Then there's taking your girlfriend on which is basically "I'm bored, let's go out." You already know them, you're not really trying to impress.
And then there's the asking someone out who's not really a friend... closer to an aquaintance and you just do it to get to know them. Then you decide whether or not to consider them anything. You try to impress them so that they'll see you again.That one is the tougher one.
It gets akward if you confuse them.

If it's just a friend and neither of you want anything more, I wouldn't call it a date. But if one of you does want more, then it's a date.

well it means that two or more ppl getting together for a great time. to just hang or to get to know someone better.
