Get a jar and everytime they swear they have to put an amount of money in the jar. After awhile, they will see how bad it really is when the money starts stacking up. Then, when you have a nice amount, go spend it on something you both enjoy!!

I am also trying to get our family to stop... it is hard but try to say goofy, made up words (a different one each day... all day) instead of swearing... it is fun and makes people smile along the way. Good luck

You really can't, it's a habbit like smoking. They have to learn to not swear. You can correct them everytime they swear, but it will still take time.

You can't make anyone do anything, they have to be willing to make the change themselves. You can advise them that you will not remain in their presence if they continue. Remind them there is such a thing as respect for others. Best of luck on this one

You can't........They have to make a concentrated effort themselves to stop........I made myself put a quarter in a jar every time I swore for 3 weeks........It worked, and I now can find more creative ways to express myself.......Take care.........

I saw a ceramic pot at CVS that said something like cussing pot,to be used for throwing coins into it everytime you cuss.
