the majority of all politicians are old
experience has its advantages
even if you start young, by the time you can prove yourself and get elected to a low echelon post, you are already getting a few years
by the time you serve in low positions and work your way to higher positions, you are getting on up there
so, SUCCESSFUL politicians are usually pretty old (as are successful CEO's and college professors)
