Because they know how they feel. A straight person cannot know how a homosexual feels, and vice versa. Do you honestly believe that 99.9% of homsexuals want to deal with the social stigma that surrounds it? Do you realize they have to worry about getting physically attacked because of their sexual orientation? Would you "choose" to subject yourself to this type of added stress on a daily basis?
A straight person knows how disgusting the idea of homsexual activity is to them. Do they just think that homsexuals choke back their bile to get it on with another of their same sex?
I have never understood how people could think that being gay was a choice.

You mean, without proof that you accept.
There's decades of scientific research to indicate that genetics is a significant factor, even if it is not the sole factor. Most people who don't like homosexuals simply refuse to acknowledge that research because it contradicts their beliefs.
And Occam's Razor, which says the simplest explanation is usually correct, supports the genetic model. So far, homosexual tendencies have been measured in most mammal and bird species, and have consistently be found to not depend on environment or social upbringing.
Thus, there is no single behavioral or non-hereditary factor that can explain why so many species and so many people of all races and cultures exhibit the same trait. But a genetic explanation easily can. Hence, under Occam's Razor, the simple explanation is to accept that genetics plays a significant role.

Occam's razor is a rule of thumb, not scientific law. Accept what the scientific community says over what conservative groups "prove" by using doctor's who have had their licenses pulled and by using their own assumptions. Any legitimate doctor will tell you that there are specific differences in the vast majority of homosexual men that cause them to be attracted to men. (I'm not too familiar with the scientific side of female homosexuality, I didn't study it in Psych class, so I'll stay silent on that subject.) These aren't defects, these aren't mental illnesses, they're just differences in makeup. I'm sorry dude, but your blind faith doesn't override science. If you really think it does, then stop going to the doctor's when you get sick, and remind yourself that if you die, it's all part of God's plan.

Pretty moronic words comming from a dude who's avatar is a big, hard, throbbing PENIS.
I bet the homos you're so against just LOVE you.
Really, dude, if you're gonna waste people's time posting moronic, contridictory coments like that, then YOU, my friend will be the one going to Hell
.Quit wasting other people's time just because you're trying to get attention.
Grow up & get a life!
I hope you get sodomized by Boy George when you get to Hell.
You'd like that, wouldn't you?
P.S. Jay B is full of $hit.
You're either gay or you're not.
Environment has absolutely NOTHING to do with sexual preference.
You, my freind, are the one who is uneducated.
You're GAY.
You always were gay & you'll always be gay.
You're just trying to kid yourself into conforming to a corrupt theory that says that you cannot be the way the so-called "Creator of All Things" created you.
You're GAY.
There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with that.
Why don't you just learn to ACCEPT it & move on?

Why do you believe that is it isn't true?
Both arguments would fit with Occam's Razor, they both are pretty simple. Beisdes, if you are gay and have no idea why then genetics might be the simplist choice
Besides, why should we even care? It doesn't effect me, does it effect you?

Because thats the easy route for the uneducated. Homosexuality is a by-product of how one is raised, what drugs and stress levels at pre-post natal the mother experienced and genes as well. All play equally into being gay. I lessened my homosexual tendencies by sorting out the mixed up emotions I experienced with the poor childhood environment I was raised and my mothers use of drugs before/after birth. Faith and working out out the emotional hurts have lessened my fixes for sex with men but it is a work in process.

How else are they able to justify their perverse lifestyle? And the simplest explanation is not always the logical choice, sometimes the most convienent. Otherwise you would not have gays become straight, other way around yes due to social pressures, etc. You will never hear of it, though, as the gay agenda will never allow it.

There might not be absolut proof yet but that doesn't mean that that proof will not come at a later date. The earth was spherical way, way, before humans had proof of that fact.

Why do straight people refuse to believe what the gays say about it? Straight people can't answer the question because they are straight. People know they are gay the same way they know they are straight. Is that simple enough?
