There are several variables/factors in play... the judge, the prosecution, and your ability to pay for a good layer vs court appointed attorney.
Sentencing is also influenced by your community, crime rate, frequency of similar crimes and most critically you own prior criminal history.
Make sure when this is resolved that you have your juvenile record closed and sealed. If you continue to commit crimes in the future without having closed your juvenile record, prior offenses will count against you.
If you have a continuation of criminal activities up to and past your juvenile time frame, you will not be able to close your juvenile record. Habitual offenders will go to prison in Texas... and so do many first time offenders with drug charges.
If Texas was a country, it would be the country with the greatest percentage of its population in prison, in all the world. Long term prison sentences for drug possession are common in Texas.
