they're gonna hurt for maybe 3-4 more days. try to stay on a soft-food diet for abt 2 weeks. u'll be able to start crunching and munching in another 2 weeks or less so dont feel despaired!! i've had mine for abt.. 16 months now!! and im getting them off this xmas yay! but anyway-- u CAN take tylenol or advil [liquigels] or whatever but dont overdose. trust me, the pain DOESSSSS go away!! besides, smiles with braces showing are so cute and innocent!! =]

Eat a lot of soft foods for the first week. Drink soup and eat mashed potatoes (well, that's what I did). The pain will go away after a while, about 3-4 days or so.

I had braces forever, use your wax, it helps immensely!!! Alot of it is just getting used to it, your mouth will form calluses which make the pain pretty much go away. Drink milkshakes and avoid anything chewy at least until they feel better. I hope the pain goes away soon (here is a tip, before you go to the dentist to get them adjusted, take a Tylenol to combat the pain before it starts). Good luck :)

Hey i wear braces too. don't worry, the pain subsides quickly and it gets all better soon. Take some fast reacting tylenol, avaliable at drug stores all over the nation. That works for me.
Good luck

Eat jello. It stops hurting and you get used to it after a week.
