Are they too scurred to talk to you? Do they not want to waste their long-distance minutes? Are they just simply enthralled by the whole gimmickry of the text messaging phenomenon? Personally, I don't text message people unless I'm in a meeting or somewhere where I shouldn't be talking on the phone and I'm BORED. But I've had someone text message me back and forth an entire conversation over the course a week which could have been wrapped up over the phone in five minutes. It's turned into a silly game that I got tired of playing!

I had this happen to me lately. I hate the phone. You need to send this message: I hate text messaging, call me or leave me alone.

I agree - I in simple terms went via that with a guy. He had no worry calling or leaving a voice mail. Then he could deliver a lame message like "howdy." One occasion he could be attempting to verify to be certain if i became obtainable to talk or to get me to call and different circumstances he did not prefer to talk. i think of a few human beings use textual content messages to play video games. i don't understand too many people who textual content plenty anymore.

Sometimes it's just easier to say what you want on a text message......and vice versa. Now if it's the only form of communication, tell em that it's killin your phone bill and you'de rather talk.

personally, i would rather text when i don't have much interest in talking to the other individual. it's much easier to cut off a text conversation than it is to cut off an actually phone conversation. you can always pull the whole, 'i didn't get your last text' excuse.

Guilty here. I'm a better writer than talker. I always stick my foot in my mouth. Text messages are more concise. But, yeah, they can be annoying to receive constantly.

Boy - I would hate to see their cell phone bill (unless they have unlimited text messaging). Ask them about it, especially if it irritates you and tell them to stop and call you.
