Just be open enough to let them know that you are shy.....That talking a lot has never been something you do. You don't have to tell them about your medical status for them to understand you are not a big talker. You are your own person, just be proud of who you are and don't worry about others.

i went to get help for my depression, and my doc told me that the best medicine was to talk about my problem... admitting out loud and discussing it with others works well...but its hard...it takes time.....you know you are not the only with mental issue, other people have problems they just don't like dealing with them? they make fun of other peoples problems rather than dealing with their own. also try taking gym classes, it helps stimulate the mind and they brain will release the right natural chemicals that it needs to solve your disorder.

let them think what they want. They don't sign your paycheck. And i'm goting to share with you something i learned the hard way. The more they know about you the more they have to talk about and that's where rumors stem from. be careful what you tell them. just be nice, general and go about your own business. some people can be very cruel if they know the truth

It's kind of funny really. In an office environment, if you don't talk enough, you get hassled. If you talk too much, you get hassled. I tend to be quiet as well, at least until I get to know people.
