Take a closer look and you will find there is not that much difference in price. I am in the low end of the middle class and have a hobby that nets me about 2 grand extra a year. I have bought 2 harleys in the last 2 years. and only have a small amount left to pay on the second. The type of cars and trucks I buy are in the $1,500 to $4,000 range. I vote by Individual and not by party but lately it has been mostly republicans because they are not trying to take my guns away. And the Democrats are into finger pointing and are not giving any solutions to the problems.

I disagree with you about your theory of them being able to "afford" HD's... that has nothing to do with it. I'd say the majority of HD riders are in the middle-lower class of society. And It isnt just bikes... its cars too.. Most car forums you go to are primarily conservatives. I know it has something to do with the whole "tough" guy thing... you will also notice a lot of people into automotives arent the most intelligent either... and definitely do not care about the environment and all the things that concern true liberals. Blanket statement, I know.. but true in many cases.

a lot of the original harley crowd were soldiers that had just gotten home from war. many of them had kids who grew up hearing about the heroic deeds of their dads at war, and having a love of harleys. so, fastforward a few generations, and theres a certain ingrown fan base of ppl that are very patriotic, and want an american bike. however, a lot of the ppl that can afford harley's are pretty wealthy and fall into the republican side of things for other reasons as well.
and btw, i'm a harley guy, and an independant, but i'd rather see the democrats in power lately, this batch of repubs just suck at pretty much everything. i have a real problem with anyone who cant admit they messed up. and patriotism is only good when its balanced with open minded-ness and fact based logic, which unfortunately, a lot of fiercely patriotic ppl dont seem to have.

Right wingers, what a term for just having freedom!
All HD riders are only interested in one thing, freedom.
Riding a HD is like no other bike. I have owned Honda, Yamaha, and a bunch more. The HD rides like no other.

1st As far as HD goes there are a lot of RUB'ies ( Rich Urban Bikers)
2nd Metric bikes dont hold the same prestige as a Harley , ( not to mention value)
Most die hards that I know of aren't political in nature , they want to ride there bikes and be left alone .
So I will assume you are referring to the Rubbies .
As for myself I own a Buell a Harley Sport bike which makes me hated by the Rubbies & the enthushist alike
My politics are my bussiness

Bikers tend to be self reliant, loyal, industrious, and creative. Is that what's really bothering you, that H-D riders aren't leftist lemmings?
