"I don't care if the sun don't shine, I don't care if the moon don't shine, I'm gonna kiss my darlin' in the evenin' time" or something similar. "Don't be cruel, to a heart that's true, you know I love you baby, cross my heart."

Don't be cruel also had a satirical version but I don't remember who did it - "Don't be cruel, to a crosseyed mule..."
