i dont care if the sun dont shine
i dont care if the bells dont chime
just as long as you love me
i dont care if the world dont spin
i dont care if the gin dont gin
just as long as you love me
so darlin' let it rain. ley it snow
let the cold north winds blow
just as long as you love me
north to south. east to west
you know i will stand the test
just as long as you love me
you know i can be found sitting home all alone
if you cant come around at least please telephone
dont be cruel to a heart that's true
baby, if i made you mad at something that i might have
said
please let's forget the past. the future looks bright ahead
dont be cruel to a heart thats true
let's walk up to the preacher then we'll say i do
then you'll know you'll have me and i'll know that i'll have you
dont be cruel to a heart thats true
catch a falling and put it in your pocket never let it get away
catch a felling star and put it in your pocket save it for a rainy day
for love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night
and just in case you feel you want to hold her you'll have a pocket full of starlight
hope i have helpedyou. it's been a long time since i first heard these songs and i am surprised i remembered this much. God bless

1950's. "Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day." "I don't care if the sun don't shine, I don't care if the moon don't shine, I'm gonna kiss my darlin' in the evenin' time" or something similar. "Don't be cruel, to a heart that's true, you know I love you baby, cross my heart."
Don't be cruel also had a satirical version but I don't remember who did it - "Don't be cruel, to a crosseyed mule..."
Artists were: Perry Como....not too sure about sun....Elvis
