My husband is a Spurs fan and he could get a good job there since he works in the oil industry. Where is a good location to live in. I would like to live in the suburbs. And why are the houses so cheap? We live in florida. The houses are just as cheap here, but the houses there are a lot bigger for about the same price here. I've have browsed through houses in San Antonio and I think they are beautiful. Plus, I like the dry because i grew up in washinton state where in the summer time its dry. I'm sure its a lot hotter there.

San Antonio is a great place. My sister lives there. Texas is cheaper than other places for houses. I don't know why it is cheaper than Florida and other places.

Alamo Heights is a good suburb.

There is a suburb Northwest of San Antonio called Boerne, real nice place, pretty, good schools, close enough to the city, but far enough away to live and enjoy the hill country. If you want to live in San Antonio, the best part of the city is Northwest San Antonio, which is the newer part of town. More expensive though.

There is much to see and do in San Antonio, use to go there on every anniversary until we moved to TN. It has a wonderful feeling. The night life is so calm compared to most places, but it is what you make of it. you feel the history that was made there as well. Yes, it is very hot and dry there.

I would look at some of the suburbs north of town. They have some great houses in Encino Park that aren't too expensive. If you want to go a little higher than that you might try the Stone Oak area

Labor is very cheap here - hint - SA is within a few hours of Mexico. Also not many people can stand the summers, even though the winters make SA one of the most gorgeous places on the planet (our little secret).

You will LOVE it. I lived there for 5 years and I miss it. My son lives in Leon Valley , and I really like that area. The houses in his neighborhood are just lovely, and it's very quiet, even though it's close to the freeway. You'll never run out of things to do or places to go. Good luck.
