Triple X Movies

Hard to say, because 'XXX' is not an official rating from the MPAA. Most adult film producers never submit their films for a rating because they already know it will get an 'X'. The 'XXX' designation is pure marketing, presumably meaning "really really dirty."

Hollywood filmmakers usually re-cut their films if they receive an 'X', so that they can get a wide release under an 'R' rating. They may accept the 'NC-17' rating which is equivalent, but presumably can apply to adult content which isn't sexually explicit. Many cinemas won't screen NC-17 films, and many newspapers won't advertise them.

As for adult films, a.k.a. pornography, about 10,000 of these are released every year in the USA. The total number is probably under a million, though.
