You are encharged of executing the King's orders, and you are supposed to act into the justice. In the thanks giving day, the King told all the prisioners should have their pain reduced by half. For instance, if the prisoner had to be in jail during 35 years, now he should be in fredom after 17.5 years; if the prisioner had to be in jail during 1 day, now he only needed to be in jail for 12 hours, and so on.
But, you founded one prisoner who had to be all life in fail. What to do in that case? What time of freedom would you grant him?

You ask him how old he is and you calculate how many years left up to he became 80 years old(almost the average of death of men).If there are 40 years left you make it 20.
But finally, I believe that a longlife prisoner must have done something really bad so it is better to stay where he is.

Simple: Your take the expected national (average) life span, & divide it in half then minus the years he/she lived prior to the crime, and also minus the years already spent in prison... and that will give you your answer.

You work out how many years he has left to live (on average), and kill him when he's halfway through his sentence. Don't let the bugger go, just make his term half the length!
