learning at an older age is harder sometimes, yes, but if a person is quick, bright, and definitely with a drive to learn violin, a person can learn the violin at 22 yrs old.
personally, i think age 4 and above is a good time to start violin. but i learned at age 7. and i turned out pretty well.

That is definitely not true. My sister lives in Las Vegas and is playing violin in the Henderson Symphony Orchestra and she took piano lessons as a child but never tried the violin until she inherited our Dad's violin which she got repaired. She practices a lot and is still learning, but she took up the violin about age 45. So, you can teach an old dog new tricks and the music teacher is wrong wrong wrong and so are the other misinformed people who told you that.

Where there is a will , there is a way. It may not be as easy for you to learn to play the violin at age 22 compared to when you were a child, but you can definitely do it if you are patient and have the desire.

No, I don't think that's true at all. I know many people who have taken up instruments later in life. You may have to start young if you want to be a professional, but I think there are exceptions to that as well.

You should be able to learn with hard work and lots of practice. It would be easier if you were younger, but you should be ok to learn at your age.

I personally don't believe it's true. But then again, that's my opinion. I can't play the violin, but I can play the accordion!

i dont know, its alot easier for a child to learn a foreign language than it is for an adult, the same may prove true for instruments also.

No it's not true. You can learn any instrument you please at any age you please. They just recommend learning it at a early age because all skills are picked up easier the younger you are.
