Do you think she was right to beg for time with Bush twice when countless other parents have had children die in Iraq? Is it right in the first place to complain about something that your child knew was dangerous when they are injured or killed? I'm not a Bush supporter ,but her story seems ridiculous to me, There's no doubt it was sad ,but I don't see where her rights are in play here.

She can beg for anything she wants. She is within her free speech rights to whine and complain. However, she's already received far more attention than she deserves. She deserves no audience with the president nor any other official nor the press.

She's a mother who feels like her child died in vain.

Most military families accept and understand that being a soldier is risky. However, I'm sure most of them expected to only go to war if and when truely neccessary and only for a positive cause.

The Iraq war was neither neccessary nor a positive cause, so it is understandable that some mothers or wives of fallen soldiers are questioning President Bush.

I'm only surprised that more of them aren't doing it.

I would definately raise hell if I felt like my son died for basically nothing, or worse, a LIE.

Sheehan is great she is trying to stop the killing of others by proving that her son died for nothing ,, she is defying Bush to tell her what was the real cause of the war and how would it make US safer?

If she had anything in common with her son she would have chosen to take this blow like a good, resilient warrior. Most of the grieving mothers from this war have chosen to take that road. She may be his biological mother, but it is obvious that he learned the soldierly virtues elsewhere.
I find it reprehensible that the Democratic Party is using her as political ammunition.

Cindy Sheehan is a sad woman with a host of problems. Her son would be ashamed of her behavior. She dishonors his memory and acts in a very selfish and irrational manner.

She is a pitiful figure and very misguided.

God bless her and her supporters! She realizes that Bush's folly is nothing less than mass murder and she is trying to educate the brainwashed masses to wake up to this atrocity.

She's a freak in a desperate attempt to become famous. She gave up her son in a divorce. Think about it. How fruity does a woman have to be before a court awards children to the father?
