What are things that an Apple cannot do which a PC can...

Okay, for all of those people who've said macs suck, they've probably never even used one. Many people associate Macs with OS 9 which is 10 years old, and is the equivalent of Windows 95. Macs are not overpriced! Apple only makes computers with great technical specifications, not ones with stripped down hardware - thats why they may appear to cost more.
Mac OS X "Tiger" is Apple's current operating system and is the most advanced, yet easy to use operating system in the world. In fact, Mac OS X can already do everything Microsoft's Windows Vista, which is going to be released nex year, can do - plus a whole lot more!
If you want a computer that will never let you down, get a Mac. Apple makes both the hardware and software, so they stand behind both. When you/if you call for support, they won't, and can't possibly blame the problem on the hardware or software manufacturer - they'll actually fix the problem.
Go to Apple's "Get A Mac" site, everything on it is absolutely true - they're not marketing stunts. http://apple.com/getamac
Lastly, I would like to point out that Apple computers are the only computers in the world that can run Mac OS X and Windows XP! So, if for some reason you don't like Mac OS X, or need to run a Windows-only application (which are hard to come by these days, almost everythings Mac-compatible these days), you're covered.
Apple takes pride in their computers, and it shows in their quality and durability. Might I add that they don't get viruses?

Do yourself a favor and get a mac!

I own two Macs, and they've never let me down. They're so easy to use, so beautiful, so productive, and just have a creative spin on everything.

I have used Apple Mac at work and PC at home concurrently since 1986. Although not true 100% of the time, Apple Macs do not freeze. At this point they almost never get viruses.

There is software that will not work with an Apple Mac. In particular, I am speaking of software for my Treo 600 running Palm OS. There might be others.

The answers referring to what it is used for and price are right on.

The first two answers do not provide evidence and therefore lack reliability.

After 20 years of using both, if I can afford it, I buy Apple Mac. They are more stable, more elegant, easier on the eyes and easier to use.

Most people in the world use Windows, although now with Boot Camp, a Mac can also run a copy of windows.

Generally, if you're not in graphic design or your arn't looking to spend a lot of money, PCs are your best bet.

But if you're looking for a safe computer (no viruses whatsoever) and joining a community for the elite, Mac's offer all that and more.

I own both. I like Apple because their software is easier to perform tasks on BUT I find the PC more useful. NOBODY makes useful software for an Apple. I travel a lot for work and I can't take my Mac because it's useless to me when using it to conduct business.

Mac is for a tard, weakly hetero, limp-wrist living in Manhattan.

PC is for people who need to get things done.
