Some can, some can't. It depends entirely on what the work entails and how well they can cooperate. It also depends upon how well they can disassociate themselves from their 'after-work' life. Not easy to put aside a quarrel at home and work in a pleasant manner all day, then head home and resume your argument! But there are some kinds of people, and some kinds of work, that do make this feasible.

My husband and I have for the past ten years. That's where we met! We work on separate projects. We've only had a few times where we've had an argument in the morning, so I don't feel like seeing him! But I'm usually over whatever issue by lunchtime so am happy he's there. I really enjoy it because we can walk at lunchtime, and also talk about all the goofy people who bother us at work. And it saves a ton on gas money. : )

Yes it is possible. My mom and dad have done it for more than 50 years. They have a Fishing tackle shop and they not only work together but go fishing too. and my husband and me also work together . We sell clothes cosmetics and perfumes and whatever we have in our hands to survive because life had been difficult for us but only the economic part. we had worked together since we got married 30 years ago.

Yes I see it all the time, but they say don't date anyone you work with due to future complications, and I suppose that would apply to the married. Special people could make it work.

I think they shouldn't! I worked with my husband before we got married, and it was kind of hard, because he wanted to get into my business, or hurt people that had "wronged" me in some kind of way.

They do it all the time. Mom and Pop stores and pizza shops, etc. It's not for everyone, though. Some marriages couldn't survive it.

yes, my parents work together in exelon. my dad is higher than my mom, but they still get along. in fact, i think its better than if they worked at different places, because they know the same people.
