The French got their original bad rap from inviting Germany's occupation in WW2. The world's been holding it against them ever since.
Their socialist system is a complete disaster, though! The French are aging and disappearing and the black and arab muslims are taking over the country! Has anyone ever explained exactly why "diversity" is supposedly so sublime? Oh, that's right. We just believe what we're told to believe.

Not jerks. But the land lock reality that they live in is one of compromise. They have grown use to compromise. During WW II France compromised to the point of surrender.
As original member of the United Nation, they are more prone to compromise than to action.
I wouldn't call them scared because the French resistance survived and thrived against all odds.We owe the success of D-Day to many of the French who died that day.
They just don't know when to pull the trigger as every good cowboy would.And of course all our presidents seem to own ranches.

I met some jerks in Paris, but otherwise the French are great people.
We have all of us had a friend who disagreed with us...right...that didn't stop them from being our friend.
The French and the US have a long history together and they together with the Germans tried to warn us that Iraq was a claymore mine aimed in our direction. But we of course knew better....

No!!! They just are a lot different than us culturally. Americans are more huggy and open to complete strangers--not all. However the French have a more reserved attitude that comes across as snobbish or rude.

When I visited France my impression was that the people there who have to deal with tourists do not particularly like American tourists. Many of them behaved like jerks.

They are the biggest pansies in the world. As demonstrated in their "aggressive" stepping in to end the Hezbollah war. They were to take the lead and showed their cowardice by agreeing to send all of 200 army engineers. Plus they wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the US in WW2

I think they are scared. Socialist bullies will not let them fix their internal messes. Islamists have them in terror. They are screvved.
