Tell them that if they are really your friends then they would never put you in that postion. Then don't choose, but tell them that you are going to remain friends with both of them and they need to find a way to deal with it. People can have more friends then one and not all of them have to like each other.
Tell them to grow up, real friend dont put their friends in positions like that and besides its childish to behave like that. Changes are things will be fine between them in a few days or more anyways. If they continue and try to push you into picking one of them then I suggest you find new friends cause they arent your friends if they would do that to you.

Tell them both that if they were "true" friends, they wouldn't put you into that position, and they should either work it out between themselves, or get used to the fact that you are friends with both of them and that you don't appreciate being put into the position to have to choose who is your friend. If one or both of them doesn't like that response from you, then, they really weren't your friend after all.

Tell them to act mature and talk it out responsibly between the two of them. Tell them that you resent that they would try to force you to choose between friends because thyey do not want to act maturely and treat each other with respect.
If they still want you to choose, choose new friends who will respect you and your feelings.
People need to learn how to communicate with each other openly, honestly and with respect for each other and each other's feeling. A little tact goes a long way.
Good luck!

Tell them that whatever happened between them had nothing to do with you. I remember when I was young friends would try to do that all of the time. But, when you're an adult you realize that things can happen between 2 people that don't involve the rest of the world. Rise above it and be true to one person....YOU!

real friends don't make other friends choose between them. Just stay out of it or just tell them to grow up and you'll be friends with whom ever you want to be friends with! Good luck!

Tell them to work it out between themselves as you don't want to be involved. This is a way to lose 2 freindships.Don't give them the option of makeing you choose.Tell them straight out that you are not involved and are not taking sides. If they get mad, they will be over it in a day or two.

If they are asking you to take sides then they are really not what you would call "Friends". I would just explain to them that it isn't fair to you to ask you to choose and if they do not like it then let them go, their not worth getting upset over. You may be surprised, one of them may say that he/she understands and that would be the one I would continue the friendship with.

Sit them both down with you in the same room, and simply explain that they are both your friends, but!!!! If they cant get along for your sake and act their age , then dont come back unless they are willing to be on common grounds.

Tell them to stop being immature and get over themselves and their stupid fight. Tell them life is too short to make enemies and you just want to be friends with both of them.
