If you think it prolongs their life then why don't retailers sell them that way?

Putting batteries in the fridge to prolong the usage of them is a myth.
A battery works at full capacity at room temperature.

Yes, my mom put nail polish and batteries in the fridge. My neighbor put her batteries in the freezer. I don't know why I never followed suite. Huh.

I put old batteries into the freezer when I am broke. I prefer duracell and they are kind of expensive when your broke.

parents always did, says it makes them last longer, hell i don't know. i'm lucky to ever have extra batteries laying around.
