i think we can agree we all want them home alive in one piece so then it boils down to purpose.

rumsfeld told us he knew exactly where the WMDs were. then we were told this was about freeing repressed iraqis. now we hear a civil war is coming.......the US has two options- send more to die or cut and run.

It seems to be an idea that is common sense. However, in a world where a buffoon like Bush could get elected, I guess common sense is actually a rare quality and isn’t as “common” as one would think. Supporting our troops should mean doing what is best for them and their families. What could be more supportive than rescuing them from a futile war, where more and more of them are dying for a cause that has nothing to do with the preservation of our freedom; the very aim they took an oath to uphold.

Its interesting how the conservative hawks always state that those who protest the war are against our troops. I look at this absurd statement this way. If conservatives insist on more troops dying in fruitless misguided battles, and the terrorists aim to kill as many of our soldiers as possible, both the terrorists and conservatives have similar aims. Now who is unpatriotic; the group who aids and abets the terrorists in their killing spree by providing more of our men as senseless targets, or the group that wants to take these troops out of harms way? Mmm…how about that conservatives? How do you like it when accusations of being against our troops, and being unpatriotic are on the other foot?

Oh my god. Picketing the funerals of dead vets, how sick is that? I support or troops 100%. They are doing their job by trying to keep us safe. I just wish we weren't in war. I know several people over there and wish them a safe return. I also feel awful for all the families that have lost a loved one fighting in Iraq. I just can't believe that people are picketing the funerals of these falling soldiers. How sick. I guess I don't watch the news that much.

It means not blaming the troops for the mistakes of their superiors.

And it was not "cutting and running" that caused so many deaths when Katrina hit. Staying in a situation where your life is threatened is not bravery. It's stupidity. And "cutting and running" out of the path of a hurricane is not cowardice. It's being intelligent.

Just like staying in Iraq for no other reason than we went there in the first place is stupidity. And leaving because we're only making the situation worse is not cowardice. It's being rational.

Do you imagine we could continuously wrestle with plant existence truly of bullets? Do you imagine that Bush is to blame for 9/11 truly of Clinton even nonetheless Clinton is the fellow who didnt take Osama the first time? Do you imagine that conflict is lost reason? are you playing non violent sleep at nighttime even as adult males and women are foreign places scuffling with for your freedom to make such ignorant feedback like what you probably did above? have a good day

Even if we don't believe in whatever "war" were fighting. We need to support our troops. These men/women enlisted and risk their lives even if we don't believe in the cause we need to support them because hey I'd hate to be over there. I wouldn't go to war for any reason. Support our Troops is from real wars past but it stays today. We need to continue to support them or noone will want to fight anymore.

It means not calling our soldiers (regardless of service) stupid for enlisting, baby killers, dumb F***s, figuring they are criminals because they enlisted, or beating them up because they are in the military. Unless you are their family you don't know why they enlisted, so don't make assumptions. Don't picket the funerals of soldiers who have died in service. If you know a family whose husband/father has been called to service in Iraq, see if there is anything you can do to help them around the house (for free) especially if you are a male. Don't parrot the naysayers without without doing your in depth investigation and looking for the truth. There are other ways to support our troops, all YOU have to do is look around and I am sure you will find them.
