I ask this question because I notice there are some best answers in which the best answer choser didn't make any comments.
How did he/she get away with this?

You could at least type "Thank you." If not that, you could just type a space in the area for comment.

You don't have to make a comment at all. But its nice to say why you choose the answer as best.

It always feels good to know you helped someone out by their comments...But it's not necessary.....
Just pick your favorite answer and be on your way if you don't feel like saying anything.....Just be prepared to live with the guilt of silence....

You could just say OK, people do. I think it's nice to wait until you're in the mood to say a few words, but I never ask questions.
