How is it illegal?
The last time the Gov't tried to lawfully prohibit a substance was alcohol and they had to pass a Constitutional amendment to do it. Its abject failure is legendary. How do they prohibit us from using drugs without a Constitutional amendment? The Legislatures don't actually pass laws against private use of drugs. Those would be un-Constitutional. What happens is the Executive branch creates administrative regulation and convinces us that it is law when it is not law at all. Freedom in this country used to mean Freedom, whether the Gov't liked it or not. Now what we call Freedom is nothing more than Gov't granted privileges.

The prohibition of weed was backed by.. let's say faulty intelligence, lies, propoganda (look up reefer madness). I think it's ridiculous that the government should be able to tell us it's illegal to use a natural plant. Prohibition doesn't work. It increases the desire us humans have to try drugs, and increases crime by forcing gangs to regulate them.

Guaranteed quality.
Tax revenue.
Eliminate a whole class of criminals.
Whats not to like?
Certain professions would still be able to not hire you should you test hot, now they are able to not hire cigarette smokers so whats the difference? Of course there would definitely have to have areas where you couldn't toke.

Don't use it, but would like to see it legalized. For one thing, it would take the obscene profit out of it...so crime would go down. Also, it could be regulated and taxed.
