walking dogs or looking after pets while people are away is one way but you might have to get your parents to hold a key so talk to them first. Offer to wait in for deliveries, do small odd jobs, maybe even do a little flyer - again you need your parents to be on your side to do this
Babysitting depends on your neighborhood attitude, I know some people let 5th graders help watch their kids. Try and impress nieghbors with your responsible atttitude, maybe you have been a nuisance little sister for so long that no-one can imagine you being responsible, so quit nagging at your sis, she enjoys being an adult when she goes babysitting, so why should she take you along? next time its time to sell girlscout cookies, do it really well to show people you are growing up and responsible

Check out your local library. I found a couple of books for pre-teens and teens with tried and true ways to make money, get experience, and meet people. One book is called "Fast Cash for Kids." Your Librarian should be able to offer other titles with that topic. Your question is a very popular one. I started working when I was 12 selling calendars door to door for a family business that owned a printing press. I got to sell the unprinted calendars at a discount and brought in usually over $100 a week in profit. These days door-to-door sales is not a good idea but maybe a craft show booth, website, or going to office buildings??? Talk to your parents once you've decided what you want to do. I'll bet they have some great ideas because they know you and your talents (and faults) better than any of us.

There is not a whole lot you can do until you reach the legal age to get a job. However you could offer to do odd jobs for your neighbors such as walking their dogs, taking out the trash for them to the curb I mean. Figure out what other people don't want to do and offer to do that for them for a price. Don't charge more than a dollar or two for chores. Walking dogs charge around $20 a week. Make sure that you follow through and do the job. If you do this you find that you are rolling in dough. I used to charge $5 a day to walk their dogs and I was raking in the cash.

I'm not sure where you live, but i do know that in most states, you are not allowed to get a job at all below 14, 16 in most places like restaurants and things even 18 for some jobs. So if you are below that age, you may be stuck doing individual things for people but thats about what your limited too unless its a family business.

offer your services as mother's helpers. basically you watch and entertain the child while the mother is doing what she needs to do whether at home or while she is shopping or at a play ground---she could visit with other moms while you keep an I on her child.

or another kind of mother's help would be to help clean the house do laundry wash dishes

if you are good at sports you could become a kind of trainer/tutor

or even help with entertainment for birthday parties. be the Queen while little girls are the princesses or the clown, if you live an close knit area you could run errands or help the elderly with their cleaning or yards. sometimes just being company for someone. I hope I started you off with enough ideas to help you brainstorm on what you would like to do. good luck and have fun you are young so try not to get burned out

Well, I'm in 8th grade too, and I have friends who work and get money only it's with their parents. For example, my friend (13)and her sister work at their mom's Beauty Salon (her mom doesn't own it, just works there) and get's paid helping out. My other friend(13, too) has a mom who works at a school and she went along with her mom sometimes during the summer and got paid working there. They were just helping out, but not doing any real jobs. But if you're like me and have parents you can't go to work with, then I would say babysitting, but that's not your option there. Oh, I just remembered my other friend, again he's 13, get's paid refereeing soccer games at a community center. Usually during the weekends. So you could try to find jobs at community centers to do. Hope that helped. :)

well if your only 12 i say you can get something in the neighborhood or something "under the table" but most employers will not do this as they will get into serious trouble due to child labor laws and stuff with taxes. But if youve tried to get multiple jobs youll just have to wait becuase there isint much you can make good money off of and you wont be able to geta real job after school as your school wont issue a work permit as you are not old enough to legally work. hell wheni ws in the 8th grade i had my own ways of making money, i sold jerseys for this guy on ebay they werent fake, sold cd's all that kind of stuff but that was about 4 years ago now no one really cared about stuff like that but youjust have to find something that you do well and maket it, or try to make money off of it.

Hi, if you have time, you can read this text and consider about that.

I have actually had some pretty nice results with this (you may want to check it out if you have time):

Go there, view the video, and it explains it all from there.
I can walk you through the process step by step if needed just to make sure you are successful. (Please keep in mind; this is NOT a get rich quick scheme.).
In my opinion, the best thing about this is that it doesn’t require a high startup investment. (Considering you can start for free).
I definitely recommend test driving it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on aol email ( elkanahslave@aol.com ) or daum email ( dhkdshdp@hanmail.net ). I'd love to give you more details! Hope This Helps and Good Luck !

Ask some of your neighbors. I did the afternoon mail at a neighbor's office every day after school. Approx. 1.5 hours per day and a good working environment.

Do chores around your house and see if your parents will pay you for it. If you have neighbors who go away volunteer to take care of their pets and mail. Shovel driveways when it snows.
