I mean seriously. I am not talking down about how people spend thier time cause I am sitting here doing the same thing but it really is quite a waste of time. What did we do before myspace, yahoo 360, and of couse.....yahoo answers?

Well, sometimes, I feel like I'm wasting a lot of time. But then, when I'm at work having lunch with friends, I tell them about the things people are talking about on here... and it's interesting.
Then I started realizing that we all live our own little lives, in kind of a bubble, knowing only that which is familiar to us. But by experiencing things like Yahoo Answers, we become more understanding about all the people in the world and what is going on in other circles of life.

I can't answer for anyone but myself, but how I got into this question answering stuff was because I asked a question that I wanted an answer to and someone very knowledgeable gave me an excellent answer. Then I saw that I could answer other peoples questions and after doing this for awhile, it dawned on me that I may really be helping people. What has happened to you recently that suddenly made you feel so negative about this question answering? There's a question for you that I would be interested in finding an answer to!

No, I think many people has bored and had nothing to do, and it's better answer questions right here than chat with another person and talk about junk things, or see those porn movies, lol.

Well, if you can actually believe it mister, we people actually went outdoors and played outside as kids. Before a lot of the recent new technology, humans listened to music on CD players and big ol' boom boxes. Let's see, people did a lot of other things, but now, a lot of Americans are unfortunately big fat couch potatoes.

i say its because we have nothing better to do. before all that, we just sat around and did nothing, or go to funny sites to pass the time. otherwise, we just got off the computer and sat around or went out with a friend.
plus, people get competative on this stuff and want more points and to get to the next level, etc.
other than that, who really knows..

To me it's Saturday night I go to a bar drinking but I'm broke. I keep losing my job and gain another one. It's been going on since I moved to Florida over a year.

Hey they didn't have sites like this when I started out on
windows 95. Just newsgroups, and boy did it take a long time to find an answer to a computer problem.
