Okay ... So they're crazy, and you take a few shots at them and prove you're crazy too.
Some people just are the way they are. Not to say you should accept it, but retaliating with violence is not the answer, believe me.
But the fact that you asked the question "Why do the KKK hate..." means you're on the right track. Because you're thinking! Most people don't think, they just act.
You acted, but now you're thinking...
People hate other people for many reasons. They may be afraid of the ones they hate. They may be envious of them. They may just be so angry at themselves for being such failures that they have to blame someone for it.
Keep thinking, and take whatever you used to "take a few shots at them" and throw it in the trash. AnnieM

They're ignorant. They were raised to think that way about other races, so they believe it. It's just like if you were raised Christian, you'll most likely grow up and be a Christian. Racism was instilled in these people by their parents or the society they live in. They're ignorant and stubborn and won't catch up with the rest of America and ACCEPT various races. They're absolutely insane in my opinion. However, you are too if I understand correctly...you "took a few shots at em"? As in, you shot bullets at them? That's just as ignorant as them! Killing people won't change their views...it'll just kill them... or injure them, which will further their hatred for other races.

Fear. Power. Ignorance. Blame. History.

The white race has been in power for most of history. There is a certain level of empowerment that they feel they are entitled to. Their power has been threatened over that last few hundred years. This breeds fear that their power is diminishing. In order to grasp onto this power, fear must be spread in desperation to keep that power. Ignorance of other cultures and the way that cultures evolve, creates blame on the cultures that threaten that power.
The crusades against the moors, the Native Americans, Incans, Mayans, et al. in the name of god have shown that there are no easy answers.
As for the KKK itself, fear, power and ignorance are key.

I'm white by the way.

It's perfectly normal, EVERYONE hates someone based on a stereotype. Most people have some sort of senseless hate for SOMEONE that they can't explain. White RedNecks are not the only ones. White Liberals respond to black Conservatives like Klan Members, despite the 'we respect you and your opinion' facade, they generally display the blind hatred that I would associate with a 'Missippi Burning' cast member.

Because they were raised in an environment of hate. When you have children, or if you already do, be aware that you have the power to end this hatred. Teach children to be accepting of ALL people.

Even parents who don't want to admit it, need to recognize that children DO learn what they live. If a child is brought up in an environment of drugs, alcohol, hatred, violence, etc., the child(ren) will believe these things are acceptable and normal. It's up to us to change these beliefs and to create a new generation of loving, accepting people.

They have small brains or have been brain washed by others adults.
Just stay far away from them. I feel sorry for them, because they
don't know what they are missing out on. We are a country of many colors and differnt personalities and we can learn alot from each other.
This makes us special. They will always be a small group that won't
know how to love.

This one is so easy. Fear!

In life you have to stand alone some times. And these people can't even stand as a group.
