My boss is the best. She loves me, probably because I volunteered at the daycare where I now work for a year before she hired me. She always asks me how everything is going, gives me time off when I need it, checks with me about my shifts before she finalizes the schedule, etc. She's incredibly caring and truly wants her staff to be happy in their job.

I have a boss that i can go to if I have problems but for the most part leaves me alone to do my work. She pops by occasionally to let me know she is around and gives me positive feedback on my work. Yes I like her.
her underling hovers however, checks in too often and tries to be too helpful. Nice person but micromanages.
Previous boss micromanaged and I was the good guy when someone else was the bad guy. Hated her.
