It really frusterates me when people say that people who get abortions are murderers. And when the only reason people say against abortion is that "god created that baby and u have no reason to take it away" or something like that. I am not against those who are religious, but i for one am not, and i believe that people should not enforce their beliefs on you.
Also, it annoys me when people say that killing a child is a crime. the "child" is a microscopic fetus that has no idea whether its alive or not-its like a planaria. Would you be more comfortable giving birth to a child and giving it up for adoption, knowing that it could suffer from not having the love it deserves its whole life? A child that feels unwanted?
You may say that the mother should pay the consequences of having sex, and i agree with protection, but really, who is paying the consequences here? The mother? No, actually the child is. It is not a child's fault for being raised by an unfit mother or not... (cont.)

...having enough love.
Also, with the world being overpopulated abortion is a choice that mothers should make if they are unfit to raise a child. There are simply enough unwanted children in this world. For example, instead of having an unwanted child and putting it up for adoption, you could get an abortion and donate some money to needy children (real children who can actually think for themselves) in africa. In my mind, this would be much more ethical.
Some anti abortionists ask this question as part of their argument: "How would YOU feel if you got aborted as a fetus?"
Well this is a silly question, because no matter how you answer it, you wouldnt feel anything at all. You are simply a few cells, not even big enough to think for yourself. And you would not mourn the idea of missing out on life (even if it is one full of suffering and feelings of being unwanted) because you wouldnt even know that the possibility could exist.
Well that is my point of view.....

I guess i look at it in more of a logical point of view, because i believe that everyone should have a choice and make their OWN moral decision, not having to be pressured by all the anti abortion haters.

And one more thing: People kill ants and microscopic creatures all the time, sometimes on purpose, sometimes by accident. So why is there not a huge controversy about killing ants? they are lives too, arent they? What makes a human cell so much different than, say, a plant cell, or insect cell? Are humans really so selfish to think that their cells are more worthy than billions of other cells in the universe?

Just because a child is adopted does not mean they will live a life without love and be neglected. I know 4 people who have been adopted and all were in very loving homes. Where is your proof proving that adopted children are not loved. Get your facts straight and stop making generalizations.
The issue in abortion is whether or not you are terminating a human life. Whether that human life would grow up to be in prison, the president or dancing around in a chicken suit in front of KFC is not the issue here. We cannot possible forecast the future and debate on whether that child would be happy or not.
It has already been decided in courts around the country that, that life is indeed a human life and killing it is murder. In cases where a pregnant woman is assaulted and the baby killed - the perpetrator is charged with murder. So how can it be called murder when an attacker does it, but not when a doctor or mother does it? Whats the difference? With the doctor, it's only a fetus - with the attacker, it's a baby. The law cannot contradict itself. It would be like saying all people named Suzy can steal from Macy's but the rest of us cannot.
And as for people pushing their beliefs on people. Well I have a belief that I should be able to walk around naked in public. This is my belief and I'm sure there are many others who believe as I do - but yet I still have to wear clothes and restrain myself till I get home and can walk around naked. Why? Because some wise person came up with the idea to wear clothes and now I have to follow their dumb law thats why. There are many laws that are based on morals - take a law class.

is this really a question or just a blog? I dont even know where to begin here, "Also, it annoys me when people say that killing a child is a crime. the "child" is a microscopic fetus that has no idea whether its alive or not-its like a planaria" what is the relavence of this statement"?. the only difference between the fetus and an adult is develepmont, so why is it ok to kill the fetus?
"Would you be more comfortable giving birth to a child and giving it up for adoption, knowing that it could suffer from not having the love it deserves its whole life? A child that feels unwanted?" I have never met anyone who would choose to be aborted rather than have a bad childhood... have you? your last paragraph is essentially the same. basically what you are saying in your first para. in your details is that we should get rid of some unwanted children to take care of others...
'Some anti abortionists ask this question as part of their argument: "How would YOU feel if you got aborted as a fetus?" Well this is a silly question because no matter how you answer it, you wouldnt feel anything at all. You are simply a few cells'.
Ok now I'm pissed, my parents were not married when they had me and tried to force my mom to have an abortion (what if she had given in? I would be dead PERIOD!!! LIFE OVER!!! so stop the bs about not being self concious and existing so it doesn't really matter etc...) and then he ran off and ditched me and my mom, growing up we had to go to neibhorhood house to get food and all my clothes were handme downs from people at church, did I wish my mom had given in becuase we were poorly off? HELL no!!! so why don't you stop preaching about things that you don' have any real world experience with. You claim to be logical but all I have seen is foolishness, and I guess I am just selfish to believe that my life is worth more than an ants.

I agree with you that it's not the child's fault for being raised by an unfit mother and so forth ... As for whether abortion is right or not, I have always thought that abortion has to do with personal choice and decision of whether to keep the baby or not. That may not be as kind as those people who are against abortion and think that it is cruel. But, the parents should also realize that they will have a responsibility towards the baby and that they will play a very crucial and important part in the baby's growth and life. They can either make things great for the child or make it bad such as many teenagers end up in drugs, gangs and violence because they were not properly taught, guided, disciplined or cared for. So, the parents should take this into consideration when they are thinking of having a baby. If they are not prepared for that or don't think that they can provide for their baby, then they should use protection or not have sex in the first place. Then, there won't even be the issue of abortion. That is more responsible I think, than having to have an abortion later on...
Also, don't people know that if they have sex and not use protection, there is a possibility of getting pregnant?? If they know that, then why do they still do that if they don't want to have a baby in the first place??
Also, not having abortion can give the baby an opportunity to life which otherwise may not be possible with abortion. There are many people who really really love to adopt children too. I also think that it is more important to be taken really good care of than whether they are your natural parents or not. So, people who adopt children can also provide them with a caring and loving home. But, I also don't think that one's own natural parents would not care for their own children. Still, a more responsible way is to not have abortion becomes an issue by using protection or not have sex if you know you don't want to have a baby.

To answer your question, I am a Christian. I also believe that abortion is killing a baby. I believe this because God who made heaven and earth took the time to make someone in his image. In return we would worship him for all that he has given us and for all that he has done for us. I understand your question of why you believe that people who are Christians think that everyone who is not should follow our beliefs. I do not believe that every one would follow the things that I believe. Futhermore, there are people who do believe as I do and why should they be condensed into a group that believes that everyone should follow what Christians believe? I do not expect you to take what I believe and believe it, but I do hope that you will seriously think about what you are saying when you state that abortion is not murder.
Everyone has to start out somewhere. It does not matter if they do not think or do not even walk. Does it really matter if this person is going to live for thirty, forty, or just maybe ten years. Does it matter if this person is going to be paralyzed for the rest of his life, deaf, or blind? How can you even tell if the "microscopic fetus" is going to be even famous? Think of what the world would have missed out on if Michael Jordan's mother aborted her son, or if Einstein's mother would have aborted him? Mothers are given the opportunity and the responsibility to take care of what God has given them. Did Michael Jordan's mother know that his son would have been the greatest basketball player the world has ever seen? Did Einstien's mother know that her son would be the world's smartest person in the world when he was a "microscopic fetus"? Think of what your friends or family would have missed if you were aborted. What if a child is like the millions of people around the world who are not famous and who probably will never ever think of the world's most famous equation? Should their mother's have aborted them? No. Why? Because, everyone means something to someone. Even if they have a disorder, if they live for one day, if, for some reason, it dies in the womb, everyone is important. God created us to worship and praise him, but he also created us so that we could live and fellowship with others.

Well, and this is coming from an atheist, you have to take in everyone's beliefs.
You and I may believe that aborting a fetus is fine but some people believe this is an affront to what they believe. You believe there's no problem, Joe thinks it is a sin. Is your belief more correct than Joe's? Is Joe's more correct than yours? No. But everyone invariably believes that their way of thinking is correct. There is no correct answer. Belief, in one way or another, is an incredibly powerful thing. It makes one person hate another for no other reason than they think differently than the other. Although "live and let live" seems like a good idea as a whole, it crumbles when beliefs enter the equation. When beliefs come into play, all hands are shown and it becomes an arguement that will never be settled.

Abortion is murder because even though the fetus is just microscopic it is still alive. And if a child is given up to adoption more than likely the child would be adopted by someone who cannot have a child and therefore would give it more love than someone who would kill it to begin with.

People hate abortion because tthey want to believe in the sanctity of human life. If their meer existance is sanctified then they must be special in some way. By being special from conception it set's them apart. basically it's part of the safety bubble people put around themselves so they don't have to ask themselves the hard questions. There's some mild correlation in the bible but most people don't understand the bible so they pick and choose what they want to see. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's a derivation of their own fear.

Can you remember when you were in your mothers's womb? I know you can't, so don't tell me the child wouldn't know the difference because you don't know. It's not the size that matters, you know. Not because it's microscopic that you have the right to kill it. The life the child is going to have is another subject.

i agree and
with the overpopulation´problem why add to the strain by having unwanted ,abused or abandoned children to be looked after ,if this can be prevented by abortion.
it mostly comes from people who support bombing thousands of women and children overseas.
the prevailing culture that shouts the most about not killing little bits of life are the most murderous cult in the world
in the past as well as today
this is just a teeny weenie hypocritical

well first it is our mission as religious people to stand up for those that can speak, and as for the tissue example I would study more into theology and philosophy before id denounce it to simply a mass of tissue, they look pretty human to me.
what defines human as a human, seriosly sooner or later you wont be a human unless you have a firm concept of mass, so if you want someone to snipe your 5 year old, then why not, its not like there human.
