You need to reinstall your operating system. It is possible you got that virus that destroys sector 0. If this doesn't help then I am afraid it is time to give your motherboard a funeral. Sorry.

Virus. Get your Virus Software updated and run a full scan in Safe Mode...or if you can't get to sAfe Mode, run one from a bootable floppy or CD.
If that doesn't help, try booting to the Install CD for your OS and running the repair console.
Type scandsk /mbr
This will repair the Master Boot record.
You can also look for the REPAIR command in the Setup, which will copy over all files originally copied which are now found to be corrupt.

If your computer keep restarting everytime in log on to the internet, it could be infected by a timer virus. The following might help:
1. Start your internet explorer
2. When the shut down timer message appears click on
the 'Start' button at the task bar.
3. Click on the 'run' on the pop-up window
4. Key in "shutdown -a" to turn-off the timer
5. Now you can go into Norton website and start to clear the virus

Another thing that may be failing is that your video settings may be too high. I worked on an emachine whose hardware acceleration settings were too high for the graphics card and each time he booted it it would reboot. Have you tried booting into safe mode?

Charlescrino is ALMOST right. Either your power supply is failing, or your processor is overheating. Try buying a can of compressed air from Wal-Mart, or wherever, and cleaning your cpu's heatsink, along with it's fan. If it still happens, then you need a new power supply.

Either your computer power supply is failing or there is a shortcut to a program in your start up folder that is no longer on your computer.

you have a virus. The only thing you can do is replace the hard drive or contact a computer geek who might have software to remove this.
