I play it because its a great change of pace from doing work! Writing articles, building computers, doing code, and database, calculations and science projects. In other words, it helps give me something else to do that is entertaining and challenging.

I have a sim family now that has the Black Widow curse. The sim is very goth and wears lots of black and lives to make only themselves happy and to fulfill their curse. They have to survive by marrying sims from town, pick the rich ones, so they never have to work a day in their lives and then quickly murder them as soon as they get a child to propagate the curse. Then they have to scheme and get their next rich victim. (I wonder how rich the sims firemen are, I need to nab one of those!)

I have other crazy challenges going on, like creating the two ugliest parents and trying to creat a beautiful generation with certain genetic traits, and you actually have to understand a little Sims genetics to do it. Very fun.

There are lots of challenges one can invent; the game is only limited to how simple one's mind operates I guess. Mad scientist types and people who are artistic seem to have the most fun for the longest.

Here's a wonderful mermaid movie that is made by using the Sims 2. It takes a lot of skill and imagination to make long movie like this. :)

One of the things that is fun to find out is how other people play. Some play it like cats with crazy imaginations, turning things into new games as they go along, who take it apart and turn it into yet another game! Other players are more like little tunnel critters that need someone to tell them a goal to guide them spelled out in black and white. When they reach then end of the tunnel (and sometimes they need a lot of cheats which can be fun), they are bored, and no longer see the point. That's why some games are more successful with some types of people and not others. :)

If it weren't for all kinds of players who need different kinds of games, then games would be pretty boring! :)

On PC, I found it more boring than on my PS2. I played the heck out of it for about a week. It's been sitting there collecting dust since. Of all the Sims games I've played, it's definitely the best. It's just that, like many other games, once I beat it, it takes a long time before I'm ready to play it again.

Sims 2 is the best game, you can never get tired of it because each time you can do different things. They come up with different themes of the games like in every 6 months, so you can always get updates. The coolest thing is that you can get the online version and talk to people all over the world, that's the coolest game ever. It's even cooler than myspace.
