how do i burn additional dvd's?

I have dvd burners on both my computers. My friend gave me a copy of my daughters basketball game and asked me to make more copies.. I cant even get it to play.what am I doing wrong?

did your friend give you an actual playable dvd? or just a dvd with a movie file on it? your friend may have burned it wrong. check and see if there are any scratches on the dvd. sometimes you can buff them out with a soft cloth. i'd figure out how to get the dvd to play first. then ask about burning the additional dvd's later.
